Simon OG - Founder of OG Media Works

'I am proud of our ethos and presence within the media industry.

With 25 years experience we have learned a great deal which has supported our development and capability to deliver quality work, sometimes from places others find uncomfortbale.

We may be a small company but this has proven to be an advantage where budget is key for our clients. Our team are specialists in the field and deliver premium work for a great deal less than larger established film crews.

I look forward to our next chapter in television production, which was always the plan for OG Media Works'.

77th Brigade, British Army

Simon O'G worked as a civilian within the re-formed Brigade as a member of the 'Information Warfare Team' and 'Project Hemingway'.

Simon was involved in the non-kinetic action against the radicalisation and recruitment drive by Daesh / ISIS of British youngsters to leave the country and join the newly formed Caliphate in Syria.

He wrote three treatments focussing on anti-terrorism, one of which was published by the Ministry of Defence.

Anti Modern Day Slavery

Unbelievably human slavery still exists. We have been part of an investigation to eliminate child slavery in Uganda, Zambia and Kyrgysztan, but the task remains a challenge and efforts continue to stifle the gangs behind the trade.

The Middle East

For over a decade we have covered developments in Israel, Gaza, Syria and Sinai. Miss-representation of the facts has always been a major factor in this region. To this day miss-information is the greatest war being fought in the Middle East.

Anti Terrorism

Our association with the Ministry of Defence and 77th Brigade, British Army.

In 2015 the British Army started a recruitment campaign to draw in civilians with creative abilities not found within the British Forces.

Cameraman Simon O'G applied and was given an age waiver and passed selection for 77th Brigade. He was offered a role as a Specialist Reservist Officer - Captain, with 5 Column, in a deployable technical media role.

The next stage of the recruitment process was long and during that time Simon was approached and offered a contract working for the Vatican in East Africa over three years.

Simon continued to work within 77th Brigade on a civilian basis and was instrumental in their drive to counteract terrorism, specificaly against Daesh / ISIS who's recruitment and radicalisation campaign directed at british youngsters was having a high degree of success. Britain lost many youngsters who left to join the newly formed Caliphate in Syria.

Simon wrote three treatments for the Information Warfare Team, one of which was published and used by the Ministry of Defence, he was also a member of Project Hemingway.
